2000 – 2010”

Who We Are!

Environmental Business Strategies (Pty) Ltd is an Environmental & Sustainability service provider to business and industry, and is committed to enhancing profitability through pro-active environmental and risk management. We utilise a wide network of specialist services allowing us to offer a comprehensive solution to any sustainability problem. EBS has a particularly strong focus on project management, technical solution generation and review, and strategic environmental management.

The company was started in 2000 by James Brice, and was developed over the years to a permanent staff complement of 15, which have collectively done work for companies such as De Beers, Omnia, BHP Billiton, Department of Environmental Affairs, Water Research Commission, Mondi, ArcelorMittal, Sasol, Kumba and Impala Platinum to mention a few. A more detailed project experience list is included below. In 2006, the EBS team was acquired by Marsh South Africa, and in 2009 James returned to EBS as Managing Director.

Our Business Focus

It is our opinion that how each business relates to its environment and social license to operate may be viewed as either a liability or an opportunity for market differentiation, process optimisation and\or improvement of relationships with stakeholders. EBS can assist you in minimising your liabilities while benefiting from progressive sustainability strategies.
